Psychonauts

I grew up never owning an Xbox, so Psychonauts eluded me for some time. I remember watching several shows on G4 singing the games praises though, and it has always been on my radar. Now, 20 years after the games launch, I can finally say I've played and beaten this early 2000's 3D platformer.

Unfortunately, I think waiting to play this game so long after its release hampered the experience. It just doesn't hold up in terms of story or gameplay, especially considering how far the 3D platforming genre has evolved since 2005. While the writing is still pretty good, and I generally laughed at certain points, the story was a bit of a mess and ended anticlimactically all things considered. Regardless, I think Psychonauts is worth playing, just lower your expectations or you may be disappointed like I was.
